Therapeutic Horseback Riding (also known as an equine-assisted activity or adaptive riding) is used to teach riding skills to people with disabilities. S.M.I.L.E. Inc. provides therapeutic horseback riding for special needs children and adults.

S.M.I.L.E (Stephanie's Miracles in Loving Equine) provides therapeutic horseback riding for special needs children and adults in Northeast NE. This is a form of recreational therapy for the handicapped! The Program runs from May to September. We need Volunteers in many different areas including helping instructors with the horses, working with students, and help with general maintenance.

S.M.I.L.E. Inc. started in 1992 with 9 students and now we serve over 135 students per week with a wide range of special needs. S.M.I.L.E. Inc provides this service with 17 head horses and ponies.
